Did the nasty man give you a bloody nose? AAAAAAWWWW... Maybe it was the ounce of cocaine you stuck up there the night before that made it worse...
Is there any evidence of this alleged incident of police brutality? Surely with all the cameras about you could do better than just footage of some scumbag dumpland deviant whining cos he tripped and got a bloody nose?

May many more bloody noses follow in his footsteps.

I know that some people only believe what they see on TV and will have difficultly believing anything not verified by RTE, Brendan O'Connor, An Garda Síochána, The US State Department, etc. etc., but the author of the previous comment will just have to take the word of the many witnesses who saw this guy being attacked and injured by a guard.
I witnessed the guard whacking this guy in the face. I was stood alongside him when Garda CL 75, while attempting to make an arrest (and no doubt feeling crowded in), looked up, swung round and whacked the first person he saw. If this guy's nose is not broken, I'm surprised given the force with which he was whacked in the face. Making light of one more case of garda brutality hardly helps the anti-war movement, even if the composer of the previous missive disagrees with the tactics adopted by a quarter of those present in Shannon on Saturday 1st March.

What a wonderful display of blind faith in the 'protective hands' of the state. Why are you trusting the people protecting the american war machine thus enabling it to continue to kill massive amounts of innocent people, destroy the environment, and swell the terrorists ranks with new recruits. War will only help the ceo's eager to exploit more countries for their financial gain. Maybe you should try becoming a little more informed on the matter, attend a protest and see how the gardi really behave, and do some more reading on why people are protesting.

Do you actually equate painting and destroying military equipment or pulling down a fence as violence. I think if you had a greater grounding in the english language you you realize that one can not inflict violence on inantimate objects. Come on Ray get a grip.

You should show respect for the uniform, it's there to protect you. The Garda was bvioulsy being hindered in his attempt to arrest this undesirable and used reasonable force to defend himself.

Show some respect and everything will be fine.

Also, if people don't want a warmongering environment-destroying govt they don't go around pulling down fences, they just vote for somebody else mext time.

By the looks of "bloody nose" I would suggest that he was lucky not to have been arrested under the Misuse of Drugs Act. He has all the look of an idiot souped up on "E" or amphetamines.

I'm the guy who was assaulted by garda CL75 at shannon on March 1st. I'm not going to bother to some of the bullshit that's been written. What I am doing at the moment is charging the copper with assault and I need any video footage of the incident that may be available, I already have some witnesses but more would be welcome. Anyways thanks for the messages of support and fuck off to all the rest of you.
