'Eco-anxiety' affects 78% of children under 12, a crisis that teachers say they are unable to cope with, new polling by Greenpeace has found. The solution? More ruthless exposure of children to alarmist material.

Anti-War Protest greets Bertie to Galway.

The exclusive Ardilaun Hotel in Galway was graced with the presence of our glorious leader Bertie Ahern on Friday. There to open an ‘information evening’ on behalf of the European Space Agency.

With haste D-I-Y placards were produced and a small group of protesters assembled at the main gates in opposition to the use of Shannon airport as a pit stop for the U.S. war machine. Simultaneously three protestors penetrated the ‘ring of steel’ security cordon surrounding Dubya’s poodle, and lay in ambush. (o.k. less ring of steel more like Shannon before they put the army in).

With clockwork precision the by now very dirty hippies (given as they had been lying in mud for the best part of an hour) moved in as the red carpet was unrolled for Bertie, and gave him a good barracking as he waddled into the plush hotel.

In other Galway news a very well attended meeting for organising the peace movement was held in NUIG on Thursday night….as well as mobilising for Dublin on the 15th, there will be a Galway weapons inspection on Friday the 14th and a peace camp during the week.

Keep the pressure on the warlords, says Berrigan. Its working. The cover provided by the Gombeen/comprador class, led by Ahern, has been exposed. Thanks to the symbolic acts of Mary Kelly and the Ploughshare 5, the myth of Irish neutrality has been exposed, and Ahern is seen for what he is-a collaborator with U.S/British imperialism. His action in calling out the army to protect the U.S. war machine after his meeting with Bush's imperial envoy, Haass, proves this. If the war planes are gone from Shannon a victory has been won,..but keep the pressure on the U.S. war lords and their Irish supporters like Ahern

Drop the "No War" banners and the "don't bomb IRaq" ones too.

You just need a whole bunch of placards, that really apply to this situation and any other politician appearance.
