Jump To Comment: 1 2 3 4 5It's obvious they're guilty. They should be charged. No question about it whatsoever. They've put the jobs and livelihood of of quite a few people in the Shannon region in jeopardy, and have achieved NOTHING, apart from making themselves (a couple of posh knobheads) feel better about themselves.
I'm sure their rich Daddys will be able to pay any fines that result from the whole incident, before calling down to collect and drive them back to Clontarf/other rich estates from where they came.
uh, Ken, you fool,
I think you will find that none of these Ploughshares activists are rich, and that none of them will be paying fines or getting thier parents to pay the fines.
Thye are fighting to protect ordinary people from the wars of the rich, and they will refuse to pay a bloody cent to the government, preferring to sit in jail than to cooperate with an unjust system. And I think a lot of people will agree that even if a few military personell lose their jobs over this, that is nothing compared to the lives of thousands of people who WILL DIE if this war goes ahead
Well done all of you. It is time for the Irish people to wake up to the travesty of Shannon being used by a foreign power to transport weapons of mass destruction, intended to be used aggressively to attack a third country which has in fact never attacked them, nor is likely to in the foreseeable future.

Does Irish neutrality mean anything? Cannot the government be challenged in the courts over allowing this use of Irish soil?
