Mary Kelly does it again

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Thursday January 30, 2003 11:19author by John Report this post to the editors

Congrats to Mary Kelly for a fine job done. Hope there'll be a good turn-out at the demo / vigil at Limerick Prison tonight (9pm Thursday). Below (beneath the pic of Mary at the August '02 Peace Rally at Shannon) is a picture of a US Tomahawk cruise missile. Beneath that is a picture of an even more effective weapon. (as long as it's used for the right purposes).

Is Mary Kelly a member of the Communist Party? if so, why has she not said she is? do they agree with her actions?

why are people always looking to tie individuals in with groups, to align them with someone or other?
just wondering?

Seven people seven different backgrounds
managed to come together and think as if they were one person.

The application of "hebdomal" is an almost forgotten ritual, and is sourced in a 16th century magician and alchemists work on (the now known to be forged set of documents called) "Solomon´s Key".

Ireland´s constitution has lost the rag of decency it had when Neutrality was breached.

Thats the same axe that was used on Trotsky.

Shes also dour and dictatorial. SHE banned alcohol from the peace camp.

author by Intransigentpublication date Thu Jan 30, 2003 13:06author address author phone Report this post to the editors

The banning of alcohol was probably a very clever decision. Now the Shannon Peace Camp is getting a lot of media attention. How would it look if the opportunistic media caught some pictures of you guys pissed out of your heads and linked it to an anti war movement. All these anti war types are the same just pissheads with drug abuse problems. Probably smart that you guys don't have any. If you are angered that you do not have any alcohol why are you making the sacrifice in the first place to be at the shannon peace camp. Is one small sacrifice to hard or do you feel that you are one who is in need of a good AA meeting. Perhaps you are just annoyed at the manner through which the decision in banning alcohol was taken. There you may have a point but I would consider that this decision was a necessary step in maintaining the peace camp's 'image.' Pissed people making fools out of themselves not good whne camera crews and photographers are about.

Trotsky was done in with an ice pick, not an axe.

Mary Kelly is a brave activist who has repeatedly shown her willingness to act in accordance to her her committment to peace and justice. Even a cursory knowledge of her activities, espececially her actions in Palestine, where she risked her life repeatedly (and not just duringthe siege of the Church of Nativity) would confirm this view.

No one should be above criticism but one would have thought that people to the anti-war campaign would be congratulating her for her courageous action at Shannon rather than engaging in petty point scoring.

Rathering than wondering if she's a CP member (I doubt it and so what if she is) why not emulate her by engaging in some anti-war activity. But then its much safer to sit in your bunker scoring petty points rather than engaging in anti-war activity.

Mary Kelly will be honoured by the New York support group for the Continuity IRA, the Irish National Freedom Committee, in Queens on Friday, January 31st. Her actions in Shannon show that the group has made the correct choice to receive the Michael Flannery award.
