Best wishes to the Carrickminders from over the water in York. We too have an important scheduled ancient monument threatened by cretinous councillors and dodgy developers.
I have written to the Irish Minister in opposition to the road scheme proposed and urge the protesters at Carrickmines to stick together and keep up the pressure.
I know that we will have your support in return to stop the development of a tawdry shopping mall next to Clifford's Tower.

I really like how in very very big urban "planning projects" the architectural models have little people "to add realism", and how when it´s a really really big project they invest heavily in the "little people", they put at least three boxes in a representation of a 2km square urban "redevolopment". I think it´s very funny to point out the clone repeats of "little people" doinhg thier thing like wheeling prams and crossing roads in these models. I also find the lack of cars interesting. I have shared these thoughts with many architects and they have assured me the really the "little people" don´t matter and are only there "add realism" which is actually only representational illusion.
look at the model of York,
