Belfast G8 March and Rally

category antrim | summit mobilisations | event notice author Monday June 10, 2013 17:25author by Caitlin Ni Chonaill Report this post to the editors

Support Palestinian contingent

The trade unions and civil society organisations are challenging the policies of the G8.
March & Rally on Sat 15th June. Assemble 12 noon Custom House Square. Rally at Belfast City Hall.
The rally is planned to disperse at 2.00 p.m. following which there will be a number of events in the city focusing on different issues. (see link for details)

The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (Belfast) is participating in the 'Fairer World Festival' to draw attention to the support which certain G8 leaders continue to give to Israel despite the many war crimes the Israeli regime has committed. We are calling on all those concerned with justice in the Middle East to join the Palestinian contingent in order to send a clear message to those in power that there is universal support for the Palestinian cause. (see www.ipsc.ie)

Following the Rally the IPSC will be providing information on Palestine from 2.30-4.30 at:

The Beanbag Studio, Northern Visions, 23 Donegall Street.

Films, music, information sheets, bookstall selling scarves, football shirts etc.
Palestinian refreshments available.
