After last years successful workshop on digital security, Distilled Ideas, The Story.ie, Pixelapes and the Science Gallery are teaming up again to put on a practical workshop about Right to Information legislation.

About the workshop:
How the Irish FOI Act and Access to Information on the Environment (AIE) work.

Speaker:
Gavin Sheridan (@gavinsblog on Twitter) is co-founder of TheStory.ie, an experiment in obtaining and sharing government information. TheStory.ie recently published Department of Taoiseach expenditure data for 2010, which received wide coverage in the media. Gavin appeared recently on “Tonight with Vincent Browne” to talk about access to information in relation to NAMA, and the High Court case between it and the Commissioner for Environmental Information, prompted by a request for information sent in 2010.
