At the household charges meeting on the 24th March Socialist Democracy distributed leaflets advertising a meeting on the Greek crisis in Dublin at 7-00 on Thursday 5th. We distributed further leaflets at the household charges march on the 31st, only to find that the assembly area was festooned with hurriedly photocopied SWP posters advertising a largely identical meeting at the same time, taking place 100 metres from our venue. ... read full story / add a comment

Our sympathies lie with the animals who are imprisoned in circuses for entertainment. Today the NAMA To Nature group struck again. This time in Cherrywood industrial estate, Dublin near the Luas line. In an act of civil disobedience a group of 12 people in business suits started planted trees this morning at 7am on an area of wasteland beside the Luas track along the edges and ridges to help shield the eyesore from the nearby apartment block part of which is a ghost estate. Following his Requisition for a Sworn Publin Enquiry into Corruption in Ireland on the 28 Jan 2012 Daniel Doherty was jailed on the 24 Feb 2012, once again without any summons or court hearing.
