The Connolly Youth Movement is appalled by the contents of a leaked email containing a confidential briefing by Daniel Mulhall, Director-General on the EU at the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs to a British diplomat Elizabeth Green. The CYM believes that this clearly shows the attitude of the Irish and EU establishment to the Irish people and the upcoming referendum. The confidential email shows that the Irish government is intent on pushing this Treaty through without the serious debate that the issue warrants.
