Kathy Kelly spent the first Gulf War on the border of Kuwait and Iraq and the following six months in bombed out Iraq. On returning to the US she founded the sanctions busting Voices in the Wilderness. She spent the the 2003 US bombing campaign as a nonviolent witness in Iraq.
