There are plenty of other revolts of a similar kind going on around the world right now and I suppose you could easily add in the Irish Fishermen. Forced cuts in Fuel use / fuel price hikes are the equivalent of steep wage cuts. But not much sympathy. PPL think. oh those nasty truckers and fishermen - they're causing global warming. Between a rock and a hard place. Anyone got on the ground reports from Spain? This stuff exaggerated? ... read full story / add a comment ![]()

James Turley, CPGB, writes on how the warmongers have stepped up their threats towards Iran. He says only principled opposition to both US/UK/Israeli Imperialism and to the Iranian Regime will win over mass support to the anti war movement. Full text at link. Communists unequivocally oppose any imperialist action against Iran. It is clear to all that the invasion of Iraq has been a catastrophe for the Iraqi people, no matter what US and British propaganda says. It is also clear that this catastrophe has real roots in the objective dynamics of recent capitalist development and the relative decline of US global hegemony in the face competition from China and Europe - and so any subsequent adventure in Iran is likely to have similar results. ... read full story / add a comment
