Mai the 8th, 2005. 60 years after Hitler - german activists took action. They wanted to show that the danger of fascism will not be banned as long as capitalism and militarism is not banned. "A new criminal justice bill is currently being pushed through the Dáil by the Minister for Justice, Michael McDowell. There are a WHOLE raft of measures in the legislation that have the potential to seriously infringe on civil liberties. However, there are two specific areas we feel need to be highlighted, in that they are targeted at young people. These are the introduction of On The Spot Fines and Anti Social Behaviour orders. It is our belief that the introduction of these provisions will dramatically impact on Irish people's civil liberties. That's why we've joined forces with the Union of Students in Ireland and are launching an online petition opposing the introduction of On The Spot Fines and Anti Social Behaviour Orders in Ireland." Please go to http://www.hotpress.com/petitions/ to sign the petition. ... read full story / add a comment
