In discussion with a member of the Rossport Five last autumn mention was made of the fact that he believed the government were planning to make a big, election-winning announcement about the discovery of oil off our shores in time to secure a resounding victory at the next election. This story arose while indymedia was off air, as usual I just summarise/archive other press/blogs, McEvaddy and Irish companies involvement of US war machine is such a collosal issue its hasn't written about specifically for while and it difficult one to tackle.

According to thelong running Wayne Madsen website, who is a former intelligence officer in the US, there are reports from captains of tankers which would have methane sensors onboard due to their cargo, that there has been an increase in alarms going off on these sensors and that it is in fact not caused by their cargo, but Methane gas escaping or bubbling up from the Ocean floor especially along the Hudson Submarine Canyon over the eastern USA. ... read full story / add a comment
