Finghin Collins struck one absolutely perfect note in the Brahms. His playing is robust, articulate; his left hand played its part wonderfully. His body language offers the greatest assistance to the listener. The National Concert Hall presented Finghin Collins last night in a solo recital on the piano one of The Irish Times Celebrity Concert Series 2009/2010. ... read full story / add a comment

A series of features examining the background to the creation and development of mutant space.ie, an alternative Irish arts resource. The resource is set up to function as a co-op that works on the gift economy principle. In other words rather than use money in exchange for resources members use their own skills and resources as an alternative form of economic exchange. Mutant space is open to everybody and anybody and does not differentiate between the artist and non-artist, professional or amateur, it is about supporting people who have ideas but not the resources to realise them ... read full story / add a comment |
