The Irish Anti-War Movement is holding a demonstration this Saturday, December 6th, at which protesters will 'blockade' Shannon Airport, the civilian airport in the west of Ireland where approximately half the US troops en route to Iraq and Afghanistan have stopped to rest and refuel. (See www.irishantiwar.org) The following opinion piece was commissioned by The Irish Times for use this week, then rejected by an editor who said his initial "hasty acceptance" had failed to recognise that the paper should not be "associated with and assist in mobilising for a call to break the law a step too far!" ... read full story / add a comment

However it also stands in its own right as explaining what the differences are between these two strands of left thought that often clash on indymedia and elsewhere. ... read full story / add a comment

The Free Presbyterian Church stands firmly in the old Presbyterian faith. They are strictly separated from the apostasy of the hour and hold to the Authorized English Bible. The Free Presbyterian Church was founded in 1951 in Northern Ireland. There are 17 of these congregations in North America and roughly 100 in the world.

This is in many ways natural, but it also poses a series of questions. The most important of which may be:
"¿are we ready to transcend the _local_ nationalist prejudice model?" ... read full story / add a comment

The BB2 programme currently screening is a tired rehash, reinforcement of the Warren Commission's findings. The programme promised to use up to date computer graphics to analyse the Zepruder film in depth, but failed to show or explain the Zepruder film in its entirety. Failing to explain the moment the president's head is hit from in front, causing a massive exit wound at the back of the Presidents' head, which effectively blows off the back of the president's scalp. ... read full story / add a comment
