Only by acknowledging these crimes - crimes that the Pope did admit to some degree in his trip to Mexico, can the church reclaim its mission and that of Christ for a preferential option for the poor. If the church does not move immediately to recognize Oscar Romero as a saint and the true leader of the church then all Catholics, and all people should boycott and attack this decrepit and evil institution." ... read full story / add a comment

Benefit fraud hardly makes a ripple in the ocean, compared with our Government wasting billions of taxpayers money on pointless wars. The government hands over billions of £ of taxpayers money to a few privately owned multinational arms dealer companies, for lucrative weapons contracts, just because their buisness associates and financers own shares in these companies and have vested interests in making profits through selling arms for war. Corruption and fraud on a monumental scale. ... read full story / add a comment

A few weeks ago I took a walk with an Irish Setter belonging to my son who lives in Maynooth. On Holy Thursday a young Golden Retriever moseyed up to my back door and stayed for a little while. The Progressive Democrats have been through it all, haven't they? the Ambition of the "mammy" then "granny" Harney's girth has long been measured, and recently swinging big Mickey Mc Dowell did a most uncharacteristic turn around.
