Following the passing in February of a similar motion by Sligo County Council, yesterday evening, by a majority of 12 to 2, Galway City Council passed a joint motion by Billy Cameron and Collette Connolly of the Labour Party, that called on the City Manager, Joe MacGrath, not to renew the city's water management contract with French multinational, Veolia. read full story / add a comment ![]()

We could be literally weeks away from an historic victory of what will be a total EU wide trade ban on seal products. Although we are not there yet, the signs are looking good! Ógra Shinn Féin are hosting a forum on education next weekend as part of their current national campaign. The ‘Educate to be Free’ forum which is being held in The Teacher’s Club, Parnell Square, Dublin, on Saturday 25 April between 2 – 5pm will look at the main issues in Education across Ireland at present.
