Over 3,000 anti-war activists turned up to today's demonstration in Dublin. Despite the Irish media attempts to downplay the demo (only 300 there according to RTE!!) this shows there is a very strong anti-war feeling in Ireland. Thanks to everyone who came - particularly to the large sections of the Islamic Community. Next step is to book your seat on the peace bus to Shannon (Sat October 12th) - tickets costs E12/E10 and are available by emailing [email protected] read full story / add a comment

This is in order to collect artifacts from the site. It means the destruction of the information which would be obtained by a full archaeological excavation. As such it is in breach of the motorway order and Environmental Impact Assessment. read full story / add a comment

Being in NI, like most of the citizens of Europe, I can not vote for or against this treaty. I have no say. Perhaps due to family background I am very pro Europe, pro further integration, and pro the euro etc. I firmly believe we need a strong grouping (and not exclusively European) to act as a counter balance to the excesses of US foreign policy. However if I had the opportunity I would vote against this treaty and without hesitation. read full story / add a comment
