Left-wing activists in Britain are less likely to work with their political opponents and more likely to think that those who think differently have been misled, a study has found. Leftists are intolerant? Who knew.

MP Peter Pilz (Green Party) Visits Martin Balluch in Prison
Directly followed by a press conference outside the entrance to the prison

Today MP Peter Pilz visited DDr Martin Balluch in the Josefstadt
prison in Vienna. He described how he had to pass through three
security checks before being able to speak to Martin over a telephone
and see him through a glass screen. Their conversation was overheard
and documented by a prison official. At a press conference directly
after the visit Mr Pilz told the press that he now had an inkling as
to what it's like to be locked up on remand.

The opportunity to put questions to the Green Party Minister was
seized by members of the press.

MP Pilz's main contention is that, despite the Public Prosecution's
accusations collapsing like a house of cards, so much so that not much
is left over apart from the ominous paragraph 278a (criminal
organisation), the 10 animal protectionists are still imprisoned.

Choice Ireland believes that vulnerable women in crisis pregnancies deserve help and support in coming to terms with the difficult choices they face in their situation – not the lies, bullying, and manipulation of the WRC. For this reason we are campaigning to have this rogue agency shut down and as part of this campaign we will be maintaining a presence outside it every Saturday this month of July. This Saturday we continue our protest outside the WRC. This protest raises awareness about the WRC's activities and prevents them from traumatising more women for as long as we are there. Choice Ireland is preparing for an oireachtas committee meeting to have rogues agencies like this regulated and we will be collecting signatures for a petition to support this. We hope that you can offer us your support and help spread the word about what is going on. If you can't make it this Saturday then come along next Saturday or make a special effort to get to our big demo on Saturday the 26th of July. read full story / add a comment

So far Ireland has been the only one of the 27 EU-states to demonstrate an independent court decision in favour of democracy and the rule of law [1, 2]. In the new situation brought about by the EU-leaders’ rejection of Ireland’s decision [3, 4, 5], Ireland is again tested as the last fortress of democracy within the EU. This test is on whether the official decision on Lisbon arrived at on June 12, 2008 would enter into force, or the constitutional foundations of Ireland, similarly to the other 26 states, would be bent or circumvented to serve the interests of foreign political forces [2]?

The questions and the proposition of this article are meant to provide a starting point for further legal considerations, building on the assumption that an independent court still exists to protect the constitution, the rule of law and democracy in Ireland. read full story / add a comment

How much legitimacy can Mr. Sarkozy assume in a non-existent role called ‘EU President’, under the current conditions, when the Lisbon Treaty meant to create such presidency has already been legally rejected, and the overall implementation process should have been revoked by now [1, 2]? How much legitimacy can be assumed for a politician who openly contradicted the decision of his own electorate [3, 4, 5] in order to seize power over the rest of the half billion who have never been and never will be his electorate [6]? How much credibility can be granted to a ‘president’ who helped organising the scheme [5] to suppress the opinion of the rest of Europe thus prevented the democratic constitutionalisation process in the region he is supposedly the ‘president’ of? read full story / add a comment
