A new study shows that Germans substantially underestimate the number of asylum seekers in Germany. This contradicts the Left-wing narrative according to which people oppose immigration because they're misinformed.

The Sunday Business Post reports today on what it alleges is a 'major setback to government waste policy'. If it is really true that Indaver intend to abandon plans for incinerators in Cork and Meath, in point of fact it would be the best news ever for government waste policy - a victory for the environment and for the thousands of people around the country who are implacably opposed to this unnecessary, filthy and deadly form of waste disposal. But let's not get too excited. read full story / add a comment

The unionist myth that more people in the North of Ireland speak Chinese than Irish has been shattered in the House of Lords.

Statistics released at Westminster last week clearly show that the North's Irish speaking population is eight times that of the Chinese speaking population. read full story / add a comment

Notice the use of language -- Australian news radio (12 noon) today broadcast that “convicted terrorist, David Hicks, receives nine month sentence...” – shame on ABC news radio, one can only wonder whether the choice of wording reflected the fundamentalist conservative, evangelical christian values of the Howard-loving producer, who will remain nameless in this report. Unlike American loving evangelical christians, most Australians accept “convictions” as a result of fair trials and due legal process NOT sordid kangaroo court 'determinations'. read full story / add a comment

demand that the Dail is not dissolved until it ends the atrocity of our complicity in mass murder in Iraq. There is an irrefutable case that our TDs are aware that we, members of the UN, remained silent while half a million Iraqis kids were murdered by UN Sanctions up to 1998 That continued at 5,000 a month under 5y/o kids until March 2003. We then supported the illegal war of aggression - "the greatest crime of all" according to the Nuremberg Tribunal. read full story / add a comment

Following on from the successful actions at the Rogue Counselling agency at 50 Upper Dorset Street, a further protest will be held on Saturday 21 April at 12 noon.

Choice ireland will keep the pressure on the liars and misogynists who run this establishment until they either shut or make it clear that they are an anti choice agency. The Peoples' Republic of China have today through their ambassador to the UN at Geneva and their state news agency Xinhua called for a new treaty to stop the militarisation of space arguing (quite correctly) the current international law and treaties are not adecquate to the challenges & criminal potential of state and non-state agencies.

The National Symphony Orchestra mustered a complement of 104 players at its concert on Friday 23 March 2007 in the National Concert Hall. This number included six percussionists and one timpanist. It was the final performance in the career of cellist Linda Kelly. She joined the orchestra in September 1972 and conductor Grehard Markson called her up to the centre of the stage before the interval and presented her with a gold-ribboned box of chocolates. She looked cool and fit and accepted the applause of the audience indulgently and graciously as she did at the end of the concert when the conductor called her to his side again. read full story / add a comment

Faye Turney, a married mother of a young daughter, serving in the British armed forces, was shown wearing a black headscarf as she was interviewed and forced to apologise for "aggression" against Iran. The sight of a non-muslim Western woman forced to submit to the misogynist Islamic headscarf demonstrates the bigotry of the Islamic government of Iran and echoes the forced "conversion" of an American reporter and cameraman to Islam when they were captured by Palestinian terrorists last year. read full story / add a comment
