The relentless drive to agglomerate control within a revamped European Union has lost none of its force, despite being pronounced clinically dead by the Irish people on June 12th in a referendum it's government could not avoid hosting. Dead set on simply ignoring the will of the people as demonstrated clearly in resounding No votes in France, Holland and Ireland, the Eurocracy continues to scheme hell-bent on manipulating its desired outcome. June 12th was a victory of the people over profit, but the battle has only just begun. Will democracy prevail? Or will that historic 'No' vote prove to be democracy's last gasp? Make no mistake: whatever you understand 'democracy' to be, it is at stake here. But here's the rub: there are some amongst us who invert 'democracy' and all nominally social ideals into their corrupted opposites. Why is that? Are we not all singing from the same hymn-sheet? Apparently not... read full story / add a comment

In a brilliant piece of detective work and logic reasoning, writer Muhammad Rafeeq has exposed what Madoff is really at by pleading guilty to the $50 billion so called fraud. Rafeeq worked for many years in large investment firms and knows how the system works. On reading that banks like HSBC and Santander and others have lost billions, he says there is absolute no way that these banks would commit money to a single institute like Madoff without an extensive history of accounts going back at least 3 years and investigation and analysis of the investment model, assets and other data. There are teams of specialists in these banks to do this all the time. Rafeeq suggests that Madoff fund simply went bust in which case the investors would not be entitled to get any money back. But by claiming it is a fraud and Madoff has pleaded guilty, and the state accepts it, it means all the so called defrauded investors are entitled to be fully compensated under the US government's financial fraud protection scheme. read full story / add a comment

The Government spent tax-payers money on an advertisement we have all, more than likely, seen. It is the ad saying, change your world, change the world. The Green Party now holds office, giving Ireland that positive hope of a greener future. Theres no denying, the Government has not completely failed us. There is a 'landfill' of criticism out there but we do have good and accessible recycling centres, green bins, and some like myself have brown bins. This is not the point. While we go out of our way to recycle, and are somewhat responsible for our part in changing the world for a more greener safer future. Where do the big businesses and Corporations come into all of this? read full story / add a comment
