A Cháirde,

A statement by the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) follows. The message is radical and is a break from all that the ETUC has said and done in the recent past. We will see what is its real meaning.

At stake is :
Will there be a genuine common action between between the ETUC and the social movement(s)? Linked to that is the timetable of mobilisations in the next six months.

The ETUC's comments on the socially negative features of the draft European Constitution help organisations in Ireland like DAPSE.

Regards,

On December 26th , as a lot of you will know is traditionally a day of blood sports, the hunt often strays into lands
that are preserved , in a cruel and unnecessary exploitation of animals.
This year give a fox a chance! if your aware of a hunt in your area this “festive season” take action.
a recipe for success.......
From the safety of your kitchen prepare this simple solution ; )
garlic, skin and chop it, then add water and blend/whiz it,
this garlic water’s sent is so potent, the hounds super sense of smell is overloaded with it making it almost
impossible to follow the sent of the fox.
If you spay this solution on the hedge rows where the hunt is likely to run then you are allowing the fox a chance to
outrun the hounds to safety.
The solution cannot be too strong, it’s only garlic, as a spray it can be used the garden as a pesticide but will cause
no damage to any plants or animals, read full story / add a comment
