The five men from Mayo are now in their sixth week in jail, on foot of an injunction the High Court accorded to Shell ordering them not to obstruct Shell’s work on the pipeline across their lands. Dublin Shell to Sea have called for a Dublin wide blockade of Statoil on Friday the 26th of August. This will coincide with the week of Solidarity in Rossport itself.

We are looking for organisations and groups to return to the Statoils we covered last July

A legal expert has said she believes that the three Irishmen convicted of terrorism offences in Colombia may have no case to answer under Irish law.
...the director of the Council for Civil Liberties, Aisling Reidy, has said gardaí would have to have evidence that someone possessed a false document in Ireland before officers would want to talk to that person.
