On Friday 10th December 2004 International Human Rights Day ICCL 4th Annual Lecture 'Human Rights: We are failing the victims of war' On International Human Rights Day 2004, Michael O'Flaherty, the first Irish member appointed to the United Nations Committee for Human Rights, will give the 4th Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL) Annual Lecture - on the impact of war on human rights. Michael O'Flaherty has extensive experience of UN Human Rights Missions, including Iraq, and is the first Irish member of the United Nations Human Rights Committee. He is also Reader and Co-Director of the Human Rights Centre at the University of Nottingham. The Lecture will take place on Friday, 10 December at 7pm in St. Michael & John's Church, Essex Street West, Temple Bar, Dublin 2.
