Any electrician knows that Lego bricks are genderless, not 'heteronormative', because each can 'mate' with any other. Perhaps Science Museum staff should study to be electricians and actually make themselves useful.

It was a war of course. It was a war, and the aim was to depose the Taliban regime, replacing it with a different one. Lots and lots of people died in the process. And as RAWA wrote to the Seattle Times recently: 'It goes without saying that Afghans will not see as their “liberators” those who drove the Taliban wolves through one door and unchained the rabid dogs of the NA through another.' Bush has declared that it’s acceptable to illegally bug US citizens for a ‘good cause’; Cheney opposed legislation banning the use of torture by US agencies! Rumsfeld denounces claims that Iraq invasion is related to Oil appropriation; US Congress attacks Bush or rather those responsible for the debacle that is the Bush Presidency. But the news of the week is the residents of Sydney contracting the disease that is John Winston Howard (cowardice). read full story / add a comment

The inherent qualities of anarchism are egalitarian, democratic and cooperative relations. These qualities enable it to ‘roam’ at will within any cultural dynamic and to be seen or appreciated as compatible with whatever it encounters. However, its inherent qualities are not realised until after the host has been affected/‘equalised’ by constant dilution/dispersal of ‘congested’ power. The cuckoo’s egg becomes the fully developed bird of a completely different genus to that which nurtured it. read full story / add a comment

Greasy Loot: This is the shocking exposé documenting the rape of Indonesian rainforest for palm oil, an ingredient central to make-up and margarine. A story of horrendous abuse, of torture, child labour and corruption at the highest level as we reveal the true cost of the Western world’s desire for cheap palm oil. (Repeat)

Éigniú na Faraoise: Nochtaítear an scannal a bhaineann leis an damáiste a dhéantar d’fhoraoisí báistí chun an ola palm a aimsiú. Tá an ola seo riachtanach chun smidiú agus margairín a dhéanamh. Seo scéal faoi mhí-úsáid, faoi chéasadh, faoi fhostú leanaí agus faoi thruailliú ag an léibhéal is airde. Tugtar chun solais chomh daor is atá sé ola palm a fháil.
