NIPSA (Northern Ireland Public Service Alliance), the largest public service trade union in the North has responded to the Draft Bill on Public Assemblies saying that, rather than give the impression that the Bill is redeemable through detailing all their objections to it, they would rather see it scrapped:
The draft proposal is "fundamentally flawed and not capable of amendment."

Bill Henderson writes about those who deny climate change and he also touchs on some other hot topics.

There are people who deny that climate change is happening, that it is caused by increasing greenhouse gases (GHG) from burning fossil fuels, or that it is potentially so serious as to be civilization even humanity threatening. There are worldview and monetary reasons for such denial, but since 97 percent to 98 percent of the climate researchers most actively publishing in the field support the tenet that combustion of fossil fuels is the source of global climate change their denial costs valuable time now but is ultimately untenable. read full story / add a comment

Yet another report has cleared scientists at the University of East Anglia’s (UEA) Climatic Research Unit (CRU) of dishonesty in the presentation of data on global warming. However it has stated that: “We do find that there has been a consistent pattern of failing to display the proper degree of openness, both on the part of CRU scientists and on the part of the UEA.”

But the inquiry found that the scientists “honesty and rigour” were “not in doubt” and there was “no evidence” of behaviour that would undermine assessments by the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). read full story / add a comment
