The post mayday 2004 Europe of 450,000,000 shall see established a very different balance between RC and Lutheran, Calvinist, Humanist, Anglican, and Orthodox than at any point since the collapse of the Hapsburg empire. And in the lead-up the most powerful RC churches are quite obviously attempting to stop any increased "secularisation" which ought be inevitable.
