At 9pm this evening outside Limerick prison, mulgrave street, limerick, a vigil will be held in solidarity and support for mary kelly, who is being held on the inside, while US military planes still land on the outside. I have told her about the vigil and where we will be at 9pm, so it would be great to see as many as possible outside the prison walls. she is in good spirits today and is warmed by all the support. and of course your presence is urgently needed at the peace camp as tracey has already appealed. in peace... read full story / add a comment

hi everyone, we really need more help at the camp. we need more people visiting even if it can only be for an hour or two. we need help plane monitoring, building and taking care of the camp, talking with new visitors etc etc. we have lots of warm dry space for sleeping and we would really love to see new faces here. ring me at 086 1603084 if you want to arrange a time to come and stay. read full story / add a comment

The Labour Party has stated its opposition to any US led war with Iraq, especially when the UN Inspectors have yet to complete their report and without any resolution from the UN Security Council. In such circumstances Labour views a massive conflict with potentially serious loss of life as unwarranted, unjust, and against the wishes of the vast majority of people in Ireland, Europe and throughout the world. read full story / add a comment

At 08:00am this morning, a team of volunteer Greenpeace climbers boarded a military supply ship bound for the Gulf and set up a peace camp. The volunteers climbed on to the vessel the MV Lyra as it was leaving its anchorage in the Solent. They are equipped with food supplies and protective gear and are in place on the Lyra’s stern ramp.The Rainbow Warrior is also nearby. see website for pics read full story / add a comment
