Once more we are faced with the stark contrast between Reality and the life that we actually lead here ...in cloud cuckoo land.

Use the airshow to

JULY 1, 2004 Washington, DC—A group calling themselves the Party Liberation
Front (PLF) took over the lobby of the World Bank Headquarters this morning
and threw a party to “celebrate” the 60th birthday of the World Bank and the
success of its global capitalist agenda. 60 years ago finance leaders from
the major world powers met in Bretton Woods, NH to establish the World Bank
and IMF. Since then wealthy elites in the US and elsewhere have reaped
billions of dollars from countries forced to abide by World Bank policies. read full story / add a comment

Gardai have given notice to three Traveller families in Blackpool in Cork that unless they leave their camp by Wednesday June 30th, the 2002 Anti-Trespass law will be used against them. They got the notice (verbally) on Monday night. Under the 2002 legislation, their trailers and cars can be seized and sold if the families refuse to move. Some local people are prepared to support TVG in protesting against the eviction, to draw public attention to this brutal practice. read full story / add a comment
