Lebanon might have caught readers attention again in the last ten days. An awful lot has happened since the Valentine Weekend 2005 murder of "Mr Lebanon" Rafik Hariri, an event of such importance that it prompted a series of 9 new stories with constant ongoing analysis of one of the pivotal states as preparation for any geopolitical strategic understanding.

Lebanon returned to our telly screens as a long standing refugee enclave of Palestinians was targetted by the Lebanese army amidst calls to "take out the terrorists" who apparantly use Lebanon to attack Western interests. Tonight the UN security council has voted to bring the murder (or magnicide if you will) of Hariri to the International tribunal in The Hague.

This is an article about the war against the Working Class in Iran; a war which is waged by the Mullahs. In particular it tells the story of the challenges faced by the workers at one car manufacturing plant. The workers are in conflict with the Mullahs who represent the Capitalist System but this does not mean that they favour the US.

As Iranian union activist Ebrahim Madadi says: Our labour union does not regard anyone who propagates and prepares for war as its friends and allies. We reject strongly any military action against our country and warn the workers against the threat of war and the need to stop such aggression. read full story / add a comment

Why is a Northern Hemisphere nation, JAPAN, permitted to flagrantly slaughter whales in Southern Hemisphere waters? Perhaps widespread inaction in the face of blatant Japanese smugness, arrogance, contempt for the environment, the International Whaling Commission and other nations is related to the world’s toleration of criminal wars resulting in hundreds of thousands of innocent human casualties! What chance do whales have if innocent HUMAN BEINGS are treated as expendable? read full story / add a comment

The singularly profit driven Corporations have lied and lied regarding food additives, tobacco and climate changing pollutants. They only respond to VERY LARGE financial disincentives. A drive to sign up whole populations for a class action against these polluters is a great start for future mental and physical health.

This action may also reveal the combination of additives in foods and the water supply that impairs the human will. Never before in human history have entire populations become so subservient, helpless and passive in the most alarming circumstances. The apathy and complacency witnessed today in the face of horrendous illegal wars, pollution induced climate change/GLOBAL warming, to name the two most catastrophic events, is beyond comprehension.

Hit them hard and hit them in the pocket, the "class" of the action should include the entire population -- you and your children have been poisoned! read full story / add a comment
