An umbrella of 33 organisations in 25 countries has joined the call for a boycott of Coca Cola goods as the boycott continues to spread internationally. The resolution was put forward by Labour Youth and comes after the recent news that the third University of Rome has kicked Coke off campus. Young Fine Gael (YFG) has had its call to oppose the immediate lifting of the Arms Embargo on China unless a wide number of conditions are meet , endorsed by the Youth of the European People’s Party (YEPP). On this mornings Marianne Finucane Show the McCartney sisters admitted being advised to watch out for "anti-police propaganda" , by a person or persons they did not identify. The US occupation has damaged Iraqi civil society and infrastructure, fuelled terrorism and was carried out in the interest of capitalists rather than the Iraqi people. American capitalism has used the occupation to suppress workers rights and steal the natural resources of the country. Before the US invaded there weren’t any Islamist terrorist groups of any note in Iraq. Now there are, thus the secular nature of Iraqi society has declined under the occupation as secular forces are squashed between the Islamists and the US forces. read full story / add a comment
