Anyone who is intending to cycle to shannon needs to come to our final organising meeting which is on WEDNESDAY, 16th June at 7.30 in the Teachers
Club (where else?). Please bring 30 euros with you to cover accomodation costs.

If you know anyone who is interested in coming, please forward this announcement to them.

If you can't make the meeting, you need to ring or email us asap to let us know that you intend on going.

Mr Gerard Collins is no longer a MEP.
He enjoyed a lengthy career in politics.
He served Fianna Fail as a public representative from 1969 when he 10,557 votes and secured a Limerick TD seat.

We're cycling the 20 miles to Drumaness to voice our disgust at the presence of the Thales weapons storage and testing facility. Part of an ongoing campaign by BLEIC against the Belfast-based weapons manufacturer. Indications are that there will be a considerable change in the make up of the city council in Galway. Outgoing were 5 FF, 4 PD, 4 FG, 2 Lab.

Based on tallies, incoming looks like 3-4 Lab, 2 SF, 1 Green (maybe), 1 Ind, 2 FF, 3 PD, 2-3 FG.
