An interesting review:of Treacherous Alliance – the secret dealings of Israel, Iran and the United States By Trita Parsi. Yale University Press, New Haven. 2007 by Jim Miles.

Trita Parsi succeeds in this goal in Treacherous Alliance, in which he discusses the relationship between the three. read full story / add a comment

Addiction, Fear, Shyness, drug take and why, those who stand back absorbed in shyness, those who will not participate at school - the student who hates reading out, the student hates going to school, the student who could be helped if only someone knew..........In England people had mentors....and personally I think this is a great idea. Shy children often hide deep dark talents which are lost in a curriculum that is in fact destroying their life changes. read full story / add a comment

national / racism & migration related issues / event notice Friday November 16, 2007 17:31 by Rachael Wilson
Official policy around race and immigration is becoming increasingly ambiguous. While government agencies like the Equality Commission remain committed to a vision of society where difference is respected and valued, the security services are ‘cracking down’ on ‘bogus’ asylum seekers and ‘illegal immigrants’ using a complex array of legal and regulatory measures, including the proliferation of administrative detention and compulsory dispersal.
Belfast Exposed is currently showing Melanie Friend’s Border Country, which documents the physical structures of UK Immigrant Removal Centres alongside the voices of detainees. As further context to the exhibition, Belfast Exposed is pleased to welcome human rights lawyer John Fitzpatrick to the gallery to talk about his practice defending immigration detainees and to discuss the rights and wrongs of immigration law with the audience. read full story / add a comment
