The media’s reaction to President Bush’s speech this week in Riga, Latvia, wherein he strongly denounced the injustice perpetrated on half of Europe 60 years ago at the Yalta Conference. It was a Yalta that President Franklin D. Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill agreed to the Soviet takeover of half of Europe. In aid of the family of Igor Letona (Basque Political Prisoner). Igor lived in Derry for a couple of years and he is actually inprisoned in Paris. His family must travel for more than 1.500 miles every weekend to visit him and they have to face a big costs to do it.

Just heard that five Jewish owned or occupied buildings were defaced and vandalised last night. A swastika was painted on the Irish Jewish Museum in Portobello, other buildings to be vandalised were the synagogues in Rathmines and Dolphin's Barn.
