Irish activist Caoimhe Butterly will introduce 'Visit to Palestine', a new documentary on Israel's 2002 reinvasion of Jenin, the impact of that invasion on families in the camps and Caoimhe's solidarity work there.

The film screening begins at 7pm Weds 8 June in the Teachers' Club, 36 Parnell Square.

Admission is free, but we would like to collect money to send to the families featured in the film - all solidarity donations of whatever size are very welcome.

FALLUJA-THE DAY AFTER (ENGLISH)
This video has been recorded in Falluja in early Janury, 2005, when the city was reopened to civilians after the American attack of November 8th, 2004 (“Operation Al-Fajr”, i. e. “the dawn”).

It’s an important document since the city was closed to reporters at that moment. This video was handed over to the Italian weekly magazine Diario by the Studies Center of Human Rights and Democracy of Falluja. Diario issued a broad enquire on Falluja battle on May 27th, 2005.

“Falluja-The day After” shows the total devastation of the Iraqi town, the corpses of the victims, the mass graves, the exhumation of many corpses by local rescue teams in order to try to recognize some of the victims. The last corpse shown in this video belongs to a 14 year old girl.

The video lasts 18 minutes and 20 seconds. read full story / add a comment

On Thursday 2nd of June at 8.00pm in the Mansion House Caroline Lucas MEP and Thomas Rupp of the European NO campaign will speak on the EU Constitution and the future of Europe at a meeting organised by the Peace & Neutrality Alliance.
Since our foundation in 1996, PANA has campaigned against the process by which Ireland is being integrated into the US/EU military-industrial structures. The decision of the French people to vote NO and the very strong chance that the Dutch will vote NO as well are major victories in the struggle for democracy and major defeats for neo-liberal warmongering Imperialists. Right wing social democrats usually can be relied upon to side with imperialism and those in Ireland that support this militarist, centralising neo-liberal EU Constitution are no different than right wing social democrats elsewhere in the Europe. After all virtually all social democrats actively supported the 1914-18 war, so why should we be surprised. The division in Ireland is t read full story / add a comment
