In a shock revelation today, British Armed Force Minister Adam Ingram announced that the Ministry of Defence has stood by the decision of an Army Board that convicted murderers Mark Wright and James Fisher should remain in the army. The Continuity IRA has denied that it co-operated with the Real IRA in carrying out the Omagh bombing in 1998.
The claim that both dissident groups acted together was made by FBI agent David Rupert in the recent trial in Dublin of Michael McKevitt, the Real IRA leader found guilty of directing terrorism. read full story / add a comment

A meeting shall take place tomorrow night in Conway mill Falls RD at 7.30pm. The meeting shall be on the issue of racism and how to fight it. We are seeing growing and continuing racist attacks in the North and while educational meetings shall be hosted on such we will also need to deal with it practically through mobilsations etc on the streets and within those areas that it is taking place. Eoin O'Broin invites you to the launch of his new book, MATXINADA, Basque Nationalism and Radical Basque Youth Movements.The 300 page book is being published by Left Republican Books and deals with the development of Basque nationalism during the 20th century; the last 30 years of conflict through to 2003; the history of left nationalist youth organisations; and the history of a wide range of radical youth movements and expressions including youth houses, radical rock, the students movement etc.

The launch will take place in Belfast on Tuesday August 19th in the Culturlann on the Falls Road at 7pm. A short video presentation will be followed by a reading from the book and refreshments. All welcome.

Hi, Anarchist Prisoner Support will be holding another letter writting
event, on Tue at 7 down stairs in Brogans (Dame St). There will be a
stall with prisoners written and general info on anko prisoners. Paper, stamps and full list of various political prisoners will be advaible on the night. If you can't make it, we can send you a info pack.
