The Australian Senate has censured Prime Minister Howard on the eve of the Bush visit. Robin Cook resigned as minister recently stating Britain went to war because Blair found easier to stand up to British public opinion than to stand up to Bush. 92,617 US troops passed through Shannon on the way to war sinnce Jan 1st,Irish Govt spent 1.82 million euro defending the militarised airport from the peace movement, Aer Rianta made 11 million euro blood money, disarmament activists face up to 10 years accused of 4 million euro "crim dam" (sic). Will there be a dissenting voice at the FF AGM. How colonised and housebroken are these people? A moral message of neutrality, anti-colonialism, peace and justice to the Irish diaspora in the U.S. would/could be significant. read full story / add a comment

UNICEF Ireland received in the post today a cheque in the amount of EUR1052.08 from the
Superintendent, An Garda Siochana, Anglesea Street, Cork, which was the money seized by gardai from members of the Cork Anti-War Campaign (CAWC) during a march in the city on 22 March.

At the subsequent court case the judge dismissed the case against the collectors and agreed to a CAWC request that the money go to UNICEF Ireland to be used in Iraq. The DPP had intended to donate the money to the Garda Benevolent Fund.

This brings the total amount donated to UNICEF Ireland by CAWC to EUR3,500. read full story / add a comment

ART TRUCK 2004
Coming from a background from art and music the organisers are interested in bringing art to new audiences, we believe that everyone is interested in art, they just have not discovered it yet, or the geographical location has them cut off from information in regards to how to get involved, either as active participant in the performance or creation of these arts or just the luxury of being at a performance or exhibition of art. read full story / add a comment
