Another story of "the government won the elections". What was once a joke, is increasingly true, one doesn't need to count the ink thumbs, or even trust the polls, all you need to ask is - "who is the current government and do the west like them?" Answer "yes" they won. Answer "no" they lost. read full story / add a comment

Check your calendar. Tomorrow is a big day. Its marks the date that modern history began. Michael Moore got his oscar, Iraqis got their freedom, and Haliburton made over a billion because of that day. And just in time, "the ones you keep your eye on" next door in Engurland have flown the big kite. read full story / add a comment

Does inequality of wealth really matter?, Richard Wilkinson Professor of sociology, has been researching and gathering evidence of the damage done by extreme inequality between the rich and the poor. As in todays society as the rich get richer, whilst the poor get even poorer. Despite however rich a country is, that country will be more dysfunctional, violent, sick and depressed if the wealth gap between the social classes grows too wide. read full story / add a comment

But all scientific evidence now suggests that these incidents are best to be considered as part of a new pattern related to global climate change. We are not dealing with the causes in the short-term. We are thus dealing with effects which are long term.
