Much has been said over the Lisbon Treaty and the future direction of Europe under the heel of the emerging “European Soviet” (Reference to the EU by M. Gorbachev, London 2001). Yet there is little in the way of real debate on the more informative topics of nationhood, sovereignty and “que bono” (who benefits). This article sets out to stimulate such questions. The text of an informative Lecture called “The State of Individuals” by one of Americas most worthy Political Historians is provided for discussion. read full story / add a comment

In Ireland I met somebody who represents a majority in his country. You, Mr. Crowley, represent a view which is in minority in Ireland. That is a tangible result of the referendum. read full story / add a comment
