Michael Mc dowell wants an all party Dáil discussion on the use of force by people to protect thier homes from intruders. His comments were made public today in response to a story doing the rounds that FG leader Enda Kenny warded off two drugged up muggers who were about to knife him.
Not to be outdone, big swinging Mickey has at last revealed the "poker wielding incident" when at age 19 he held a burglar to his parents house with a poker.

Its part of a PD / FG exchange of little real worth which continues their implosion strategy as transfer of power.

Until of course you see the subtle shift in our national narrative from Shakespearian drama, ( the black / white analogies of Othello & Titus Andronicus [ general Titus on his 38th day but really focussing his ire on the Labour party) to the dramatic works of Christopher Marlowe, the life of Edward 2nd and its introduction of "pokers" into the Western Armoury, remembering that real men used swords and halbards back then. & then of course the memorable "poker wielding incident" between Witgenstein and Popper. read full story / add a comment

Four years ago on July 4, 2002, 51-year-old Mansoor Hekmat (Zhoobin Razani) died after a period of battling with cancer. Included herein: A Question tabled for written reply to Minister Micheal Mc Dowell TD.

A response to the written reply by Peter Preston.

To be added at Mr Preston's request:

"Before each Dail session, the Ceann Comhairle says a prayer that goes something like this,

Through your divine inspiration may all our actions, works and words come from thee.....

(Mr Preston insists that his hunger strike is nothing to do with the criminal case, but
to be answered by the TD who he accuses of returning to him transcripts altered by a named TD

Madame K on Pride'06: "Despite the rain nothing could dampen the spirits of the 2,000 or so who took part. The diverse group was well catered for, with the event concluding in a free party held on public space. Wheelchair access, kids area and signed language to facilitate a true sense of inclusiveness for all that gathered for the after party. A much smaller event than many counterparts held over seas Dublin Pride has not yet become the commercial entity that has caused untold problems abroad, let`s hope it stays that way". read full story / add a comment

Twenty-four Greenpeace activists from Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey and the UK were arrested earlier this month at NATO’s Brussels Headquarters. A Greenpeace truck carrying a 3.6 meter (12 feet) full-size replica of a US B61 nuclear bomb blocked the entrance to NATO with activists bearing banners saying “Nukes out of NATO.” Their demand: remove the 480 US-owned and controlled nuclear weapons from Europe! read full story / add a comment
