As the Norwegian government currently owns 70% of Statoil, we call on your government to instruct the board of Statoil to stop the coercive intrusion on the lands of families who are being hauled before the High Court in Dublin by Shell on behalf of the consortium of which Statoil is a member. read full story / add a comment

ALL LOCAL POLITICIANS HAVE BEEN ASKED TO ATTEND Since the our last public meeting in Sept, nothing has been done by the politicans or councillors to help secure the funding for the new replacement pool. In the meantime, the opening of the new Dundrum Shopping Centre will generate 27 million euros every year in commercial rates for Dun Laoghaire - Rathdown. All we need is 2 or 3 million out of just one year. Will the councils give us the money? Please put pressure on your local TDs and councillors to do just that and come along to the meeting. read full story / add a comment

Please note the launch of the Irish Nurses Organisation’s public protest campaign -‘ENOUGH IS ENOUGH’- regarding the overcrowding crisis in A&E Departments around the country has been re-scheduled as follows: DATE: Monday, April 11th, 2005 TIME: 11.00a.m. VENUE: INO Head Office, The Whitworth Building, North Brunswick Street, Dublin 7 The campaign will involve lunchtime protests from 1.00 to 1.30p.m.commencing on Tuesday, April 12th outside the Mater Hospital, Dublin, Cork University Hospital and Roscommon General Hospital. Dear Sir or Madam, Someone sent me a list of questions about working with indymedia. they're writing about it for a college thesis. if they do well we might give them a job ;-). these are my own opinions and not necessarily those of the indymedia ireland collective.
