Gunman Willie Ó Dea
national / housing / press release Friday November 11, 2011 15:43 by PAW   image 1 image
Former Minister for Defence Willie "The Kid" O Dea, today failed to answer questions put to him by the People's Association Watchdog in our weekly email to all TDs, Ministers and an Taoiseach, among the questions put to Wily Willie were "Will you stand up for the people or take the cushy favours of the financial industry? Are you afraid to stand up to the banking sector? Have you asked how much money they got to cover mortgages in the bailout? Are you willing to see the demise of your country when you can take a stand?". The Banks Robbery of the People of Ireland appears to be going totally unchallenged by Willie, I wonder are his constituents ignored and disregarded in this manner by this "Gentleman". Below is our latest (unedited) letter to the TDs Ministers and an Taoiseach and Willie O'Dea's unedited reply. read full story / add a comment

The Occupy movement has grown steadily in the past 4 weeks in Ireland. It is part of the global Occupy movement. As to what it is about is best summed up by the OccupyGalway statement:

Occupy Galway is part of the international movement against austerity measures imposed on ordinary people around the world. We are all part of the 99% who, so far, have been subject to economic inequality and social injustice from the 1% who control the world's resources. We, the 99% demand:

1 - The removal of the IMF and ECB from all Irish financial affairs;
2 - That the national debt imposed on Irish people from the bank bailouts be lifted;
3 - The return of Irish resources (gas, oil, forestry) to the people of Ireland;
4 - Real particpatory democracy.

THIS IS NOT A RECESSION, IT'S A ROBBERY!!! read full story / add a comment

Last week, an Taisce pulled out of a judicial review challenging the granting of consents in Sruwaddacon Bay as part of the Bellinaboy gas refinery project. Already the subject of a ten year campaign, this was not going to be taken lightly. We the 99% of ireland, demand a sovereign republic, free of corporate control. We demand control of all natural resources within our land and sea borders. We demand a setting up of a non-usurious national bank, printing debt-free money and acting as a utility for the people only. We demand a court system acting under a natural system of law which mirrors the Brehon system of our ancestors. We demand all corporations be held accountable for all serious breach of the law. We demand all men/women on this Island have access to the freedoms that were the original intention of the creation of the Republic. read full story / add a comment
