While doing the regular planespotting at Shannon airport I saw this aircraft landing. It came in at 6:40, so it was still dark. I recognised it as WORLD but was surprised that it wasn't in the standard white colour scheme of WORLD airways, (the charter airline with a huge contract to transport troops and cargo for the US military). When I got up to the terminal it had got brighter and I was very surprised to see the new paint job on this plane. read full story / add a comment

This Saturday (Dec 7th) we invite all to join the DON'T ATTACK IRAQ protest in Belfast. We assemble at 2pm at the Art College Gardens. There will be at least one bus from Derry travelling down. Speakers addressing the demo will include a firefighter, ICTU and possibly Unison alongside others - details to follow. We encourage those who can't make it to get to the Dublin demo on the same day or Shannon on the Sunday. read full story / add a comment
