There was an excellent attendance at the public forum hosted by Labour Youth on the topic of "Is Feminism Dead?" in Wynns Hotel on Wednesday night. The speakers Niav Keating of BODY, Liz Mc Manus T.D., Rossana Flynn of Residents Against Racism and Ailbhe Smyth of WERRC argued why they thought Feminism was still relevant. read full story / add a comment

A protest of Somali Asylum Seekers took place today outside the Dáil. It was supported by Residents Against Racism. The asylum seekers are faced with deportation from the state despite the fact that Somalia is an unsafe corrupt country. Human rights abuses are widespread and women and children are subjected to Female Genital Mutilation(FGM).
