éirígí Defends the Irish Right to Commemorate 1916 31/05/08 éirígí in mid-Ulster engaged recently in a number of commemorative events time scaled to coincide with the beginning of the Easter Rising and the execution of the last of its leaders. This provoked a carnival of reaction from unionist politicians and the RUC/PSNI in the mid-Ulster area, resulting in public condemnation of the commemorations by no less than five DUP representatives, and the theft and destruction of commemorative materials and flags by unknown entities throughout the period. read full story / add a comment

I'm pleased to announce the formation of a new POW support group called, Ceartais........ The aim of Ceartais is to support former Long Kesh Prisoners and their families. Our objective is to reveal the truth behind a CR Gas attack on hundreds of Political Prisoners by British Crown Forces on October 15, 1974.
