A big demonstration was planned but we have just been informed by the Hotel itself that the CA have cancelled in writing as one of its members is sick. ‘ We shed no tears for them but for the thousands of animals shot, mutilated, terrorised and abused in the name of so-called sport.’ Press officer AOHS. West Tyrone Ógra Shinn Féin have said they are 'not deterred' by an appearance on the combat 18 linked website Redwatch. The Republican youth organisation was photographed at a march outside the BBC offices in Belfast , which was organised in protest at against the media's portrayal of events in the Middle East last summer. The Annual 1916 Easter Commemoration in Cork took place on Easter Sunday April 8th. Year on year the numbers attending grow and this year was no exception. Assembly took place at the Wilton Roundabout at 2.30pm. The parade then proceeded to the Republican Plot, Saint Finbarr's Cemetery lead by a Colour party from Sinn Féin (Poblachtach) – Cork, followed a number of pipers of the ex-Cork Volunteer Pipe Band, Cumann na mBan and a large contingent of the public embracing all age groups. read full story / add a comment

ON this the 91st anniversary of the 1916 Proclamation of the Irish Republic, the Leadership of the Republican Movement sends greetings to members, supporters and friends throughout the world. We send a special greeting to our imprisoned comrades in Portlaoise and Maghaberry, Co Antrim and applaud the continual prison protest in Maghaberry which has been ongoing since last June. On this note we would like to extend our appreciation to the Republican Prisoners Action Group who have organised and promoted the outside activity in support of the protesting prisoners.
