Anti-War Ireland, a broad-based national alliance of anti-war groups, is organising the demonstration that will meet George W. Bush when he lands at Shannon airport on Friday evening, June 25th. This demonstration will assemble at 7pm in Shannon town centre before marching to the airport. Anti-War Ireland is also conjointly organising, with AmBush2004 (a coalition of grassroots groups), a parade for peace from Bunratty to Shannon the following day. Assembing at 12pm. Anti-War Ireland has appointed the following media panel for the Bush protests. The Ambush 2004 campaign today released details of their calls for protests against Bush’s visit to Shannon. These protests will include local protests the week before Bush arrives, a critical mass 'bikes against bush' tour across the country and two protests in Shannon and Bunratty while Bush is in Ireland.

PRESS RELEASE WHY DOES THE BBC IGNORE AFRICAN WARS Tools For Solidarity and the Black Youth Network are commemorating African Liberation Day outside the Bedford St offices of the BBC on Tuesday 25 May from 5 – 6pm. We will be asking the BBC when it is going to start reporting the 22 ongoing forgotten wars of Africa. There will be some street theatre from 5pm and at 5.30pm there will be a 3 minute silence for the forgotten dead. There will be 22 gravestones representing 22 ongoing conflicts in Africa. Cyclists totally opposed to compulsory wearing of helmets as proposed by National Safety Council.
