Any electrician knows that Lego bricks are genderless, not 'heteronormative', because each can 'mate' with any other. Perhaps Science Museum staff should study to be electricians and actually make themselves useful.

Any parent can currently withdraw their child from school if they're unhappy. Labour's Schools Bill ends that right for many, giving local authorities a veto. That's why all parents should protest against this state power grab.

Anti Bush Administration does not = Anti-American Anti Nice Treaty does not = Anti European Protesters here are deliberately planning days of Anti War Action in co-operation with millions of Europeans and Americans. This Anti-American line will not wash whatever Willie's little Doktors (who themselves are a focus of attention for once in their little backroom lives) tell u. How much are they being paid to come up with these cold-war warrior cliches which no-one is swallowing. As someone who works in the internet industry, this is something that scares the hell out of me - but it should scare the hell out of EVERYONE. The Minister for Justice, and as a result, the government, are planning legislation to store and retain all telecommunications data for THREE YEARS! There are NO INDUSTRY MEMBERS BEING CONSULTED that I can see, the Data Protection Commissioner seems to have been EXCLUDED FROM ANY CONSULTATION, basically, even the US and the UK have disagreed with what McDowell is proposing. NO CROSS PARTY PARLIAMENTARY GROUP are involved in this, no nothing. This isn't Big Brother, this is out and out Stalinist era totalitarian state control. Not even the Department of Homeland Security in the US is this scary. THIS GROSS INVASION OF PRIVACY NEEDS TO BE FOUGHT NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. ... read full story / add a comment
