On Radio Free Eireann, NYC, today, Bernadette Sands-McKevitt, sister of Bobby Sands, MP, appealed to civil libertarians to protest the mistreatment of her husband, Michael McKevitt, who is now in his third year on remand, charged with being the leader of the Real IRA. McKevitt is held in a cell with no sanitary facilities. The sole evidence against him comes from MI5 and FBI agent, Rupert, and the prosecution is withholding documents from the defense. McKevitt who has been seriously ill with pneumonia, goes on trial(non-jury) in June. Friday night: US bombs Iraqi tv station, maybe it's a coincidence, maybe its to stop the images of civilian dead being shown. No more images of dead civilains on Iraqi tv.
