?It?s Time to Scrap the Asylum System? Fri Feb 21, 2025 17:17 | Will Jones It's been exasperating to watch as, in defiance of the wishes of Western electorates, the cultural make-up of our countries is radically transformed. It's time to scrap the asylum system, says Lionel Shriver.

His Plan for Ukraine, Not So Much Fri Feb 21, 2025 11:00 | Ian Rons Sometimes Trump's mercantilist thinking is so radical as to be wildly, crazily brilliant, as with the Gaza Riviera plan. But on Ukraine it's letting him ? and the West ? down, says Ian Rons.

Steve Ignorant & Band playing The Empire 27th November
 Warzone Presents
The Last Supper
Crass Songs 1977 – 1982
(Plus a few shocks, surprises, perhaps some slogans, but no tantrums...and a bit of a laugh)
......
In 2007, Steve Ignorant gathered some friends together and put on two shows at Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London. Called The Feeding Of 5000, the show was a celebration of the Crass album of the same name, which was performed in its entirety.
It most certainly was not a Crass reunion, and never sought to be.
THE LAST SUPPER
This tour will answer the calls that have come from around the globe in response to the Shepherd’s Bush gigs. Steve will be celebrating the period of Crass’ work which he feels the band were at their strongest, most productive and most hopeful.
Steve's band for the tour will be
Spike T. Smith - drums (Conflict, Morrissey, Killing Joke, The Damned)
Bob Butler - bass (The Tone, Schwartzneggar)
Gizz Butt - guitar (English Dogs, Janus Stark, Prodigy, The More I See)
Beki Straughan - vocals (Loaded 44)
Steve Ignorant - vocals (Crass, Conflict, Schwartzneggar, Stratford Mercenaries)
As well as featuring Crass songs (plus a few other favourites) there will be some rather special visuals.
This is a once-only tour. We will play no city more than once. We hope to visit as many places as possible from September 2010 to the end of 2011, when we are planning a finale show in London. Steve has a few things planned after that, which you'll hear more about in due course.
=================
Steve Ignorant and Band will be supported in Belfast by 'Stalag 17' (reforming for one night only) and also by Belfasts own ska legends 'Aggressors BC'
Tunes will also be provided by DJ Big Love :)
